Happy Sunday!

You may know the verse of Scripture I’m using in the title of my blog today. It’s from Joshua 24:15:

But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15(b) ESV

The photo I’m using today is from an article I recently wrote for a magazine. For those of you who may not have had a chance to read the article pictured in this post, here is the link if you have the desire to read more: https://nicciekliegl.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/August-2020-Magazine-Reduced.pdf

Niccie Kliegl is a friend of mine who has recently created a free new online magazine for women called As For Me and My House. Here is a link if you’d like to check it out and subscribe. https://fulfill-your-legacy.ck.page/41f5ab7dc9

For many of us life has changed quite a bit in 2020! Many families are forced to be together at home more than usual, for better or for worse. There are opportunities for progress with these circumstances, also opportunities for more stress and stain.

It’s a great opportunity to solidify how “You and Your House” will live!

I encourage you to read the article and think about your values and strategies for life in your home – this is the key verse of Scripture that Michael and I made the cornerstone of our home:

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the law and the Prophets.” – Matthew 22:37040 ESV

I hope you’ll read the article and I’d love to hear your thoughts about how you are choosing to live in your household. We can encourage each other in these times and grow from things we share with one another!

Warmly,

Terri

  1. Hi Terri,
I loved the article you wrote for your friend’s magazine. (I did subscribe). My story is very different from yours and our two boys are grown and gone from home and do not yet know the true Jesus.
They grew up in a home where we served for many years on the mission field with both YWAM and Ethnos 360. Both our boys were born in foreign countries while we were serving. They knew their father and mother loved God and others. From the day we were married in 1984 we committed to serving God.
In 2018 I attended Transform in San Antonio TX with my girlfriend after reading Living From the Heart Jesus Gave Us. I knew nothing else about Life Model but left Transform with a deep desire to connect with others I had met there with a longing to receive emotional healing.
To this date, I had lived my life trying to do the right thing while feeling a great sense of shame and fear. Trauma from my childhood held me, prisoner, even into my 50s. I wanted out of this prison of pain and after Transform I knew I had met my people where I could let my walls down and be safe.
For the past two years, I have joined a journey group and received coaching from others trained in Emmanuel prayer.
God has used Life Model and His people to help heal my wounded heart.
Our story is not done being written. I declare every day that Kyle (33) and Karson (24) will live and fulfill the destiny that God created them to fulfill. I wait expectantly for the grandchildren that He will bless our family with.
Thank you so much Terri for testifying to God’s goodness. I’m thankful every day that my story is not finished. Each day inviting Jesus and asking Him to help me sence His presence is a Blessed Day and I’m so thankful for you and Micheal who continue to obey God and give as He asks you to. My life is a miracle because of God and people like you.

    1. Thank you Joanna for taking
the time to respond! I’m so happy to hear that you are benefitting from what the Life Model provides – so much joy and help for all our wounds and a path to follow for health and wholeness. I stand with you believing for a better story to unfold for you and your family in the years ahead. ❤️ Terri
